What measures are in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19?

The Outdoor Picture Palace has planned all our events with a range of measures to ensure the safety of everyone in the audience and our staff, with some examples below.

  • Reduced audience capacity to allow for socially distanced seating
  • Event staff to wear face coverings
  • Audience to wear a face covering whilst moving around the venue
  • Hand sanitiser available throughout event site
  • Audience to self declare they are not presenting COVID-19 symptoms before attending

Do I need to wear a face covering?

We request all audience members to wear a face covering whilst moving throughout the venue, this includes admission, use of bar and food and toilet facilities.

You are welcome to remove your face covering whilst seated.

General Event Information

Are toilet facilities available?

Yes, there will always be toilet facilities available at our cinema events. These will be within the venue itself or hired in portable toilets.

Accessible toilets will be exclusively available for those who required them.

What if there is inclement weather during the event?

The Outdoor Picture Palace delivers ‘outdoor’ cinema events, during The Great British Summer, a little rain can be expected from time to time. Come prepared with waterproofs and plenty of warm layers and enjoy the atmosphere that a little rain adds to the experience!

The event will only be cancelled if the forecasted weather presents a danger to the audience and Event Staff. In the unlikely instance of this occurring, you will be contacted directly with as much notice as possible with options of a ticket refund or transfer to a future event.

Is seating provided?

A general admission ticket does not come with seating, we recommend you bring your own picnic blanket or folding chair to make yourself comfortable.

Want to avoid the hassle of bringing your own chair? We have a select number of deck chairs available to hire, positioned upon your arrival for a prime view of the screen.

Can I smoke whilst at the event?

No, smoking is not permitted anywhere on the event site. This includes the use of e-cigarretes and vapes.

Can I bring my dog to the event?

Guide and assistance dogs will always be allowed at our events.

Please check each individual event page for details on bringing your dog.

Can children attend the event?

Yes, however children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Children aged 3 or younger can attend the event for free. However, we remind you that the event will run late into the evening and it is often cold so ask you to consider the welfare of your child during the event.

Our Event Team will ask for the identification of anybody that appears to be under the age of the certificated film being screened. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ensure that any children attending the event with them are over the certification age of the film being shown. Any children under the certificated age of the film being shown will not be permitted to enter the event and a refund will not be given.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes, our venues are wheelchair accessible. If you have any concerns about accessing the site please contact us before booking a ticket. Our Event Team will be on hand to provide additional assistance if required.

Accessible toilets will be exclusively available for those who required them.

Food and Drink

What food and drink options will be available?

There will always be tasty, freshly made street style food available at our events. This might be from the venue itself or a local food vendor.

The Outdoor Picture Palace bar will have a wide selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, freshly made popcorn and snacks. Stocked brands will cover the finest offerings from the region alongside a selection of staple offerings.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own refreshments however please take your own waste and litter home with you. The on-site recycling is for refreshments purchased on site only. No glass is allowed on the event site.

Remember there will always be food and drink offerings from the venue or food vendors and The Outdoor Picture Palace bar.

Can I get a refund?

All tickets purchased directly through The Outdoor Picture Palace or SEE Tickets are non-refundable. If we cancel an event for any reason, we will give you as much notice as possible and you are able to transfer your ticket to a future event or recieve a refund for the ticket(s) purchased.

How do I buy a ticket?

Find an event your would like to attend on The Outdoor Picture Palace website and select buy tickets for your chosen film. Once your payment has been processed, you will be emailed an e-ticket which you will need to bring with you to the event. There is no need to print this ticket, just bring a copy along on your smartphone or tablet.
