Located at the head of Honister Pass in the center of the Lake District, Honister Slate Mine offers a range of indoor and outdoor adventures for a range of ages and abilities. Honister is also the last working slate mine in England and home to the iconic Westmorland Green Slate.

A BIG SCREEN outdoor cinema experience awaits you this summer. The Outdoor Picture Palace is excited to present our first outdoor cinema event of 2021 at Honister Slate Mine. Outdoor Cinema is coming to the Lake District.

General Admission Ticket - £15 per person
Overnight Campervan Parking - Customers are welcome to stay overnight in the Honsiter Slate Mine car park after the film screening. The charge for this is £15 per campervan and is payable directly to Honister Slate Mine. Please pre book this by clicking here.
Food and Drink
Local food vendor Earthworm Kitchen - 'The Herbivorous Gormandizer Collective' will be joining us during the Honister Slate Mine event to provide vibrant, exciting food made with an abundance of fresh ingredients and love.
The Outdoor Picture Palace bar will stock a varied selection of refreshments from the regions finest breweries, distilleries and mixologists to compliment your special evening. Freshly made popcorn and snacks will be available for those wanting an extra treat.
